These three small tables have so many possibilities - beside a bed, on the porch, in a foyer, next to a comfy chair where you like to drink coffee and read a book. The half-moon shaped table is painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint's French Linen, and finished with clear and dark waxes. The oval table is painted in ASCP Paris Gray, and finished with light distressing and clear wax. The third table is painted in ASCP Provence, again with some distressing and protected with both clear and dark waxes. I love the neutrals as much as the pop of color!
The animal of the moment for Au is the owl. This summer she has devoured Kathryn Lasky's fiction series The Guardians of Ga'hoole . Au selected the species for the project based on their characteristic sizes and profiles. I created silhouettes in Adobe Illustrator based on the photographs Au found at owlpages.com . Next we will print and frame them for her room.
