I had fun with this bedside table makeover. The base of the table was painted with Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Old White. After two coats of paint, I protected it with Annie Sloan's Clear Wax, then finished off with Annie Sloan's Dark Wax. Wax on, wax off. The key to aged perfection (or something near that).
For the tabletop, the client opted for a layered paint technique which is somewhat driftwoody. Two layers of Old White paint, then a wet brush in French Linen, followed by a dry brush in Coco, finished off with a light layer of Dark Wax. This was a technique I learned in the class I took last year with Celeste from Catfish Creative Furnishings.
